Description
Engine seized at Big Shanty, GA by a detachment from General Mitchell's force, and used in an attempt to burn the rail road bridges between there and Chattanooga. The party were captured and several of its members were executed at Atlanta. The Engine was blown up when Atlanta was evacuated by Hood's Army, September 1, 1864
