Transcription

“He threw his arms around me and almost sobbed, "God bless you Morris!" Farewell, dear John. Soon he disappeared down the roadway to the landing. A little ferryboat set out for Garrisons. And soon I saw a figure waving a handkerchief, and I fluttered mine. And those little colors of boyhood's love floated till the river was crossed. I wondered whether I should ever have so close a friend again.”
